Hi, all. My husband and I will soon be residents of Westford in September and are expecting our first child shortly after. We are eager to get to know Westford because with winter quickly approaching after the birth of the child it might be harder to explore. I am look for the best places in Westford, the ones off the beaten path, and great shopping and friendly people.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Hey everyone. I lived in Westford from 1969 - 1976, graduated from WA in 1976, looking to catch up with some old school friends. Hope some are here!

Hi everyone.. first, I want to say how happy I am to have come across these blogs about Westford and that there are forums available for folks to ask questions. We are thinking about moving to Westford and I was hoping I could use this opportunity to ask a few questions. But first, a little about us - we are a family of 3 with a 1.5 yr old boy and plan to have another child in the near future to cap our family off at 4 :) We are moving from Waltham, where it's too darn noisy for us and we're loo…

Hi everyone,
We move to Westford three years ago and we really like the town. Our dogs love having a big yard to run around in but they don't live in a neighborhood so the dogs don't get to play with other dogs. When we lived in Boston we used to take them to a great dog park where they would run around for hours with all kinds of other dogs. Can anybody recommend a park in the area that people take their dogs and they are allowed to run free and play. Thanks for the help. Delete Comment

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good preschool in town? Also, what elementary school do you like best and why? We look forward to moving there within the next few months.

Hello Westford!
My family and I currently live in CT (we have two young boys) but are potentially looking at re-locating to Westford, MA to be closer to family. To help us get back to MA, my husband and I have been exploring opening a pre-school that offers extended hours (7AM-6PM) in Westford that would serve children ages 6 wks to 6 years. The school is part of a larger, national organization that offers a strong curriculum in a fun, play based environment. Unfortunately because we are in the…

I have lived in Westford all my life and know that we are a tight knit community as until recently (past 10 years) we didn't have a lot of things nearby and possibly still don't...and one thing I have noticed are support groups for various things - and in this case for Cancer Survivors aren't prominently advertised - everything seems to be word of mouth.
On Friday June 8th, 2007 - there will be an American Cancer Society event called "Relay for Life" happening at the Westford Academy Tr…

I honestly do not know where to begin. I have recently moved to Westford. My husband and I are city kids. Things now a days just aren't the same where we grew up. So, we decided to find a great place to continue raising our children, Westford. Well, so I thought. My question to you is a simple one, "Do you teach your children to welcome new kids, or do you even talk to your kids about making the new kids feel welcome?" I have never seen children so mean. I wish for one minute you could come into…

Anyone have a recommendation
for a good contractor that specializes in bathrooms (or at least
includes them as a focus)? We've got a bit of an overhaul coming up and
would appreciate someone we could trust to do a good job at a
reasonable price.
Thanks in advance. Continue

Hey guys - I'm relatively new in town, and am
hoping someone could offer a recommendation for a fun place to go some
evenings. I don't drink, but I thought a
bar with a pool table or dartboard would be fun. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thanks. Continue

After noticing that not one but
two of the new members of this site listed the Westford House of Pizza as their favorite Westford restaurant (after seeing
Brian's mention by full name, I assumed this was the place abbreviated by
Nick as WHOP!), I decided I had to find where it was and see what all the fuss was about.
I'm happy to report that we tried a BBQ chicken pie l…

The Westford Network is a new social networking site just for residents of Westford, Massachusetts. I'm hoping it will help us build community and get to know each other better.
The features included at launch are minimal, but useful, though I intend to add more as the site develops. Currently, you can add photos (imported from your Flickr account or uploaded from your computer desktop), share videos, start discussions, and basically just connect with your neighbors. I haven't enabled…
