Relocating to Westford

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good preschool in town? Also, what elementary school do you like best and why? We look forward to moving there within the next few months.

Comment by Cathy Stewart on July 17, 2009 at 10:29pm: Hi Jennifer, I realize you posted back in Oct but wanted to let you know that I've enjoyed the Roudenbush preschool for a few years & there is also a brand new Goddard school that just opened on Rt. 110. They are having a promotion for free childcare for your move-in day. If you have already moved to town, the Westford Friends & Newcomers Club is a great resource as well: www.westford.com/newcomers.

Comment by Amber Brown on April 25, 2009 at 1:15pm: I like the Millennium Preschool (http://westfordk12.us/pages/preschool/index) and Nabnasset Elementary. The principal at Nab (Susan Dubois) knows every child in her school by name, and is really responsive to parent concerns. Even if at times we have disagreed she has always been extremely professional and great with the children.

welcome to town! We LOVE the Roudenbush preschool. My two older daughters went there for 2 years and are now in Kindergarten and my youngest is currently at Roudenbush. My brothers three kids also have gone there. They are reasonably priced, very well run, friendly, great with the kids... Roudenbush also has great kids programs like gymnastics.

as for elementary schools... we go to Robinson and LOVE it. I actually went there as a kid, quite a few years ago :) It has an open classroom... which basically means these really LARGE rooms divided into 4 sections with bookcases as walls in between. 3 of the sections have a teacher and a class... the 4th has a group area. Some people worry about the noise or the dynamic of the large area/all those kids, but it really works well. And the classes come together for a lot of things. Robinson school recently received a Massachusetts School of Character award (http://rs.westfordk12.us/Pages/WestfordRS_SchoolofCharacter/schoolcharacterindex). We're very pleased to have our girls go this school. But in general Westford if a great school town... so you prob cant go wrong whichever school you end up with.
