i don't go on here very often but did today.
i read you comment and my heart sunk.
where is the humanity?
sometimes i wonder.
i have always told my children to welcome new students to help them feel at home.
i remember my son made a card for a new boy a few years back.
it seemsa shame that kids are so wrapped up in their own little world thay have thier heads in the sand.
this is a wondewrful town
i actually grew up here.
yes, things have changed- but there are still some beautiful aspects to this town
i hope things have gotten better for your family and yor children.
sometimes it only takes one hand to reach out.
- my 14yr old had a very difficult time finding 'nice' boys' to be friends with. i always told him the nice boys will find you and that what goes around. he used to say ' but when?'
i am happy to report he is in the 9th grade at the academy and having a blast running cross country and making lots of new friends.
There are lots of fun events in town
UPCOMING - The Roudenbush Auction - Nov
The WEFF dinner dance - April 5th ( this years theme in 'Under the Tuscan Sky' w a top raffle item of a trip for 2 to Tuscany ( Westford Education Foudation)
and if you like the old feel of a small town there are numerous Spaghetti dinners- all the older Westford folks
- the Parish Art center has Contra dances and all kinds of activities
- if you would like to meet for coffee some morning please email me

i look forward to hearing from you

I am so happy for you and your family that your transition went smoothly, thats great! Though I do hope you do not teach your children to be so judgemental.
Julie, I actually received a flyer for the newcomers the day after you posted your blog, thank you. I may have overlooked it had you not mentioned it.
Linda, thank you for your blog as well, you are right saying it takes time, things are improving everyday.
